I have known Kim Horton for approximately 5 years now. Firstly in her capacity as a fellow bed & breakfast operator, and lately in her capacity as a B&B Locum.
As a B&B Operator, Kim was always interested in promoting the industry, the local area and her main priority was providing an enjoyable experience for visitors to the area. She co-operated with other B&B operators and volunteered time at the local Visitor Information Centre as well. Her experience as a chef is evident. She is an excellent cook and presentation of her meals is exceptional.
We operate a 4 star luxury B&B in Daylesford and when I learned that Kim was making herself available as a B&B Locum, my husband and I jumped at the chance to take a few days off and to utilise Kim's services.
We returned to find glowing comments in the Visitor book, a clean and tidy home, rooms serviced and ready to go and emails and phonecalls answered.
We have already booked her again for next month and we hope to utilise her services on a more regular basis. Having been in the industry for 10 years and only ever had one serious holiday in all that time, we now feel we have found someone, experienced enough and who understands the B&B ethos, who can take control and run our business in our absence and do just as good a job as we do!
Please feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss anything about our operation further.

Kim is professional, implementing all our high standards like our
response time to requests and friendly approach to our guests. Kim
went out of her way to learn about the local area to ensure she was
able to assist guests with any questions they had. She is computer
literate so was able to take control of our on-line inventory with not
much training and maintained it well while we were away.
The whole handover process with Kim, both leaving and returning, was
smooth and we felt confident she could and would handle any situation
as we would. Probably what we like most about Kim is that she is happy
to take on any job, indeed whilst we were away one of our septic
systems had a small problem and Kim was happy to try and rectify it
herself without calling in a plumber. It was, as she suspected, a
minor problem she could fix herself and her actions saved us a fortune
in plumber’s fees.
We feel very happy leaving our business, our house and our dogs in
Kim’s hands whilst we enjoy our time away. We have no hesitation in
recommending Spabedz to anyone.

4 weeks is a long time to leave your business in the hands of someone else, but with Kim it was like we had never left.
She handled all the IT systems and website updates effortlessly and with very little training. Her knowledge of the workings of an accommodation business meant that we didn't have to cover the basics before we left and could concentrate on specific areas that were unique to our business.
Even our guests commented on the exceptional service and wonderful
breakfasts. I highly recommend Kim to anyone who wants a worry free break knowing that while they are away, guests are well looked after and the bookings are rolling in.

Kims background and qualifications were readily evident in the 8 day
break she initially relieved us for in January 2006
Indeed when we arrived home it was most pleasing that the business,
under Kim's control had not skipped a beat. Everything was handled
with great professionalism and obvious know how. From administering
our computer based booking system(which was new to her) to public relations and cooking breakfasts she did it with ease. Kim also has
that very vital quality of common sense, which in the absence of,
business managers do not succeed. We have used Kim's services many
times since then and thoroughly recommend her services to any
accommodation operator.

Running your own business is stressful enough with out having to worry about it when you are trying to enjoy a well earned break.
Kim set my mind at ease from the moment we first met, to discuss how she could assist us during our recent holiday, until the moment we returned to Melbourne after a 4 week break. This is not easy to do given that I have operated the business for only 18 months!
Having run her own business and gaining a comprehensive understanding of all facets of boutique property management has enabled Kim to run our business with a seamless transition.
This transition needs to be flawless, to minimise disruption to guests and the business.
The feedback I received from guests after our return and the comments in our guest book speak volumes for Kim’s professionalism, her enthusiasm for providing fantastic service and her personal qualities.
We have no hesitation in recommending Kim to any operators entertaining the thought of taking a well earned break. Leave the day-to-day operations in the safe and capable hands of a true professional.
We do – and we will continue to do so!

Now here is a place where a couple can forget about life for a while. Because sometimes I think everybody needs a decent break. Kim you are what we believe to be a relaxologist, I mean the whole package exceeded any of our expectations. The Spa, the room, the breaky and basically the whole premises was simply stunning

Although our visit was quite short we had an absolutely fantastic time. We'll be back for sure hoping to bring some other girl friends to introduce them to the wonderful things the springs has to offer. Your breakfast was sensational!! This is way better than home. A short break from the kids and husbands to totally relax will keep us going till we come back……soon. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Noel won a w/end here as a prize on a day I was feeling particularly depressed. It immediately made me feel great, and had been looking forward to it ever since. I didn't really know what to expect as we had never stayed at a B&B before. It has exceeded all expectations, have loved it. The house is Beautiful; the book collection is diverse as is the video collection. The host friendly and informative and the breakfast fantastic. Chris and Noel MELB VIC Sept 2004

Was a wonderful find in the heart of Hepburn Springs. We were met with wonderful hospitality, with really helpful advice about the areas attractions and places to eat. We enjoyed curling up in front of the fire – could not be more relaxing and comfortable, the breakfast was superb. We will definitely come back again

After staying in numerous B&B's in UK and AUST and other parts of Europe . This has been the most memorable (real warm fuzzy feeling) experience yet. A magnificent set up from the local food and wine to the local knowledge. Its obvious you both enjoy the lifestyle….don't ever change.

Thanks so much for everything: a constant Phase peppered in our conversations was “ this home is so beautiful” ! This must be one of the best B&B's we've ever stayed in! Thanks again….
